"Hey Brennan let's get out of here." Jesse said stopping at the opened door to his best friends room. "Shamliar read that there's trouble with an new Mutant."
"Go fucking tell Adam. It's his job after all." Brennan growled as he threw yet another sock at the wall.
"Nope. Him and Emma need to sleep." Jesse said softly.
"Hell with that. EMMA needs her sleep. ADAM needs to get the fuck out of her bed get dressed and get back to fucking work." Brennan jerked off his bed and bounded across the room in one leap.
"Brennan leave it alone man. BOTH of them are sick and need to sleep." Jesse placed an firm hand on Brennan shoulder.
"Jesse is right Brennan we are needed out in the field. Get over your fucking pride and get the job done." Shamliar hissed as she stood behind Jesse.
"Fuck off Shal. I want to get Emma away from that monster." Brennan pushed with all his might and moved both Jesse and Shalimar away from the door and into the fall wall. "Now get the hell away from me."
"No!" Jesse said moving forcefully into Brennan and turning him around to face the end of the hallway which lead away from Emma's room. "You are coming with us. You are going to leave Adam and Emma alone." With that Jesse pushed the slightly older man ahead of him.
"So there." Shalimar couldn't help but add. She followed at an distance behind Jesse and watched with relief that Brennan wasn't fighting them about leaving. *He really doesn't want to hurt Adam. It's just that his love for Emma and his pride is getting to him.*
Brennan lead the way out to the garage and walked over to the black Audi that Adam had just brought.
"Get in the back seat Brennan." Shalimar said as she saw that Brennan was heading to the drivers side. "I'm driving."
Brennan sighed deeply and opened the back passenger behind the driver door and climbed in. He slammed the door shut and buckled his seat belt.
Jesse nodded and went around and opened the passenger door and opened he winked at the woman before he climbed into the car. He shut the door firmly and buckled his seat belt.
After getting in and bucking up Shalimar started the car and allowed the garage door to open. When there was enough space she peeled out of the garage and screeched the tries as she made an right turn right before hitting the bump that allowed the car to be off the driveway. She hit the power button to close the garage door and zoomed down the road.
